The Gently Used Purse Sale began in 2006 as a way to raise funds for the ministries of the Episcopal Church Women of St. Raphael Episcopal Church, Lexington KY. The concept is simple - collect the unused purses lurking in closets all over the city and turn them into

Who doesn't love a good sale? Doesn't it feel good to find just the purse you've been wanting for a terrific price? That's only the beginning. When you take home a purse from the Gently Used Purse Sale, you can be assured that all of what you paid goes back 

Donate

If you have a lonely purse in your closet that never sees the light of day, consider donating it to the Gently Used Purse Sale! We take unloved purses and resurrect them into hope for those in need. Just bring purses in gently used condition to St. Raphael 

Get Involved

From the outside, the Gently Used Purse Sale happens for two hours each year.From the inside, this is a year-round operation.If you've got leads on sources for gently-used purses, we'd love to hear them! Please tell your friends and neighbors and help us get the word out about

Backpack Packing

Food for backpacks is picked up from God's Pantry on Mondays.

Backpack packing happens on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. at St. Raphael's, then delivery to James Lane Allen School on Fridays, in time for the kids to take them home. It takes a small army! We are grateful to be able to do this and thankful for your support.
